Bristol Academy specializes in science classes in real laboratories and also makes other subjects available on site.
There are two tracks for science classes. Science Classes with Labs are available for 1st - 12th grades and meet for 33
weeks during the school year. Most classes use the Bob Jones University texts. Each class includes
instruction and labs corresponding to the scope and sequence of the text with homework and evaluation.
The second track of study available to elementary and middle school students is the Discovery Lab Program. These are
topical studies including labs that are usually multi-level and do not include homework. There is a elementary level and a
new middle school level of Discovery Labs.
Bristol Academy offers Art through Out of the Box Art Studio (www.outoftheboxartstudio.com) , Spanish, chess, and also
math through Veritas Classical Schools (www.veritasschools.com). Fees for Art and Math are paid directly to those
educational providers. Bristol Academy also offers technology classes, driver safety classes (including ADAP),
Friends and Family CPR & First Aid, and Babysitter Boot Camp.
NEW FOR FALL 2008 - High School History, English, and Electives Beginning in the fall of 2008, Bristol Academy provides
traditional classes / unit studies for humanities on the high school level only. History / cultural studies along with literature /
composition are now available at Bristol Academy on Wednesdays. Other high school elective courses are also being
developed. Classes for this program will begin the week of Sept. 1st. For more information, contact Bristol Academy.
Bristol Academy also continues to recommend Veritas Classical Schools (www.veritasschools.com) for an excellent
classical approach to education.
Fees:
There is a registration fee for Science Classes with Labs and a monthly fee for 9 months. Chess and Spanish are a flat
monthly fee for 9 months. Please contact Bristol for fees for other courses such as French and Technology. Please note
that textbooks are not included in these fees.
Science Class with Labs Registration:
$150 (1st student); $75 (1st sibling); $30 (each additional sibling) (Note: Kindergarten Registration is $40.00)

Kindergarten (New!): This class meets on Tuesdays from 11:30 - 12:50. Students can plan a program at "Out of the Box Art
Studio" next door either before or after the Discovery Lab to extend their day.
Elementary Discovery Labs K - 5th: A schedule of Discovery Lab topics is posted August - January and then again for
February - May. Students can attend every week or specific weeks, either on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 or on Wednesdays
from 2:30 - 4:00. ($25 per class / flexible sign-up) Payment is requested at the beginning of each month.
Middle School Discovery Labs 5th - 8th (New!): These classes meet on specific Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4:00 and will
explore the world of chemistry. Students must register for (8) classes at a time. This program is not meant to replace 7th
grade Life Science or 8th grade Space-Earth Science. ($25 per class with commitment to 8 classes in the fall and / or 8
classes winter/spring).
