| Discovery Labs 2008: Levels 1, 2, & 3 |

Discovery Labs are topical studies that are offered at the Bristol laboratories that
are multi-level. They are available for students K - 8th grades.
Level 1: Kindergarten / 1st NEW!
Discovery Labs for 5 & 6 years olds are now available weekly on Tuesdays from 11:30 - 12:50. Students must
register to attend weekly. Out of the Box Art Studio next to Bristol has classes available before and after this
Discovery Lab for students who would like to have an extended class schedule. The cost is
Level 2: 1st - 5th
There is a different topic offered each week during the school year, and that topic is offered 2 different times
during the week.
Tuesdays: 3:30 - 5:00 Wednesdays: 2:30 - 4:00
A schedule of topics is posted twice each year. Students are requested to register for a month at a time and to
pay fees for the month at the first of each month. Each class is a $25.00 per class per student.
Discovery Lab topics are usually different from topics that are offered during the weekly classes with labs and so
some students participate in both the grade level weekly program and also the multi-level Discovery Labs.
Level 3: 5th - 8th NEW!
These Discovery Labs are offered on 16 Wednesdays during the school year, usually the 1st, 3rd, & 5th weeks,
from 2:30 - 4:00. Students enroll for (1) semester at a time at $25 per class (or $200 per semester). The topic
that has been chosen for the 2008-09 school year is Chemistry. This program is especially helpful for students
preferring additional science before starting 7th & 8th grade Life and Space-Earth Science or high school courses.
It is not intended to be a substitute for the core middle school classes.
